Atlanta, Georgia – January 21, 2010 – The Blessing in the Sky Foundation is proud to present Atlanta’s first salon for the homeless.

Design’s Etc. Hair Salon for the Homeless

Design’s Etc. is a full service eco-friendly hair salon which offers complimentary hair & make-up service to homeless women and girls living in shelters, transitional housing and foster homes. The salon is equipped with computers for the women to use for resume writing and job search, in addition to homework assistance for the girls. Appointments are scheduled by the approved facilities administration team. Services are available to women and children with upcoming court dates, interviews and job search, housing search, graduations and proms.

The salon is eco-friendly which means, no chemicals or harsh products are used.

LIST OF SERVICES OFFERED

TAX Preparation: Federal, State, Local

You can have Fast Tax prepare your federal, state, and/or local return and mail the return(s) yourself. Divva’s Fast Tax takes care to provide the most accurate and professional service possible, using the most up-to-date technology, in order to ensure that you get the maximum allowable refund.

You must pay for the preparation fees up front, and you will be issued a cash receipt.

Electronic Filing

Divva’s Fast Tax can complete your return and transmit it directly to the IRS and/or to the applicable state agency, allowing you to get your money faster.

Refund Anticipation Loan (RAL)

A Refund Anticipation Loan (RAL) is a loan against your anticipated refund. Divva’s Fast Tax electronically files your return to the IRS. Once approved by the IRS, the loan is submitted to the bank. We will usually know within 6–24 hours if the loan was approved.

Your actual refund is sent by the IRS to the bank to repay the bank loan. If there is a remaining balance, it is sent to you through a second check, which will be picked up at Divva’s Fast Tax Office. It can take up to 21 days for the IRS to deposit your refund to the bank. In the unlikely event that the IRS does not deposit your refund to the bank, you will still be responsible for the balance of any unfunded loan from the bank.

The bank makes all loan decisions. If you are denied a loan, it is automatically flipped to a Refund Anticipation Check (RAC). You do not have to pay any fees up front. The fees will be withheld from the first RAL check only.

Instant Refund Anticipation Loan (IRAL)

If you qualify for a Refund Anticipation Loan, you may be able to receive an Instant Refund Anticipation Loan (IRAL). If you are approved for an IRAL, you can receive a loan based on your refund, subject to certain limitations, in just minutes. See location for details. All loans are subject to bank approval.

Refund Anticipation Check (RAC)

Divva’s Fast Tax electronically files your return to the IRS. The bank issues you your refund check in 2 to 3 weeks, provided that your refund, either full or partial, is deposited into the bank by the IRS. A partial deposit depends on whether or not the client owes the IRS or government any money.

You will not have to pay for any fees up front. The fees will be withheld from the Refund Anticipation Check.

RAC Direct

Divva’s Fast Tax electronically files your return to the IRS. The bank will deposit your refund into your bank account in 2 to 3 weeks, provided that your refund, either full or partial, is deposited into the bank by the IRS. A partial deposit depends on whether or not you owe the IRS or government any money. This service enables you to receive your refund without having to come back to the tax office on check pickup days. You must provide your bank account number and banking institution’s routing number.

You do not have to pay for any fees up front. The fees will be withheld from the direct deposit.

Direct Deposit

Divva’s Fast Tax electronically files your return to the IRS. Within 2 to 6 weeks, the IRS will deposit your refund into your bank account, provided that you do not owe the IRS or government any money. You must provide your bank account number and banking institution’s routing number.

You must pay the electronic filing and/or preparation fees up front.

IRS Direct Mail

Divva’s Fast Tax electronically files your return to the IRS. Within 2 to 8 weeks, the IRS will mail your refund to your address, provided that you do not owe the IRS or government any money.

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays, besides Christmas, Easter and Valentines Day! They all have a very special place in my heart! Thanksgiving stands out differently, because not only am I Thankful for my freedom and life itself, I’m thankful for the oppurtunity to bless others with my gift of cooking!

I love, love to give in all ways, my largest gift of giving is in the form of cooking. I get a great pleasure watching people eat and hearing the thankfulness that comes after… Food to me represents more than a meal. It represents love, security, care, and even comfort to the ones I serve. Jesus was a stickler for breaking bread with His disciples, His inner core group, as well as others He was reaching out to. When I feed a group of people, I feel I’m doing what He wants me to do! It gives me Great Joy!!

I’m so thankful for my wonderful husband who loves Thanksgiving just as much as I do… I’m really grateful he didn’t give me the side eye when I told him how I planned on changing the basement into Divva’s Den… I had such a blast setting up the decor’ for everyone’s enjoyment.

More so, I was in heaven enjoying immediate family as well!! My mom, step-dad and their puppy Daisy drove up from New Orleans to spend Thanksgiving with us as well!

From the food to the ambience, everything was Divine… I’m ready to do it again….
