Monica hit the Red Carpet just like Still Standing Divva!! I had the opportunity to meet and become friends with Monica through my husband, since then I have gotten to know the Monica behind the camera, first Strong Child of God, She’s a loving mom, humble help mate, and beautiful daughter. She treats those near her with true love and her fans even better.. I love that about her and you’re going to love her more after watching Still Standing.
Just from the turn-out of the Premiere Party & Cover Release held at Bocado (Midtown Atlanta) hosted by Upscale Magazine proves the ratings are going to jump the roof!! The party was a blast, and never in all the events I’ve attended have I seen the mass media in that magnitude, we thougt it was the line of people waiting to get in when we pulled up. The Garner Circle & Starfire Group did an EXCELLENT job putting the event together! Kudos!!
The night ended perfectly, my field trip with kids went into overtime, causing me to miss my dear friend Shun’s baby shower. I’m so glad I had to chance to see her at the party, poor baby looks like she was ready to have Little Chase yesterday!! I had the chance to dance a little, laugh a little, hang with my Divvalicious pals Tami, Kiara, Erica, Taylor & Jay Millz!!
Blessings to Monica and her family!! We’re Standing with you!!

Let me first say, I LOVE SOME DWIGHT!! I could never thank him enough, behind the camera, he’s awesome and has a heart of gold. One phone call and he was there for my girls before I could finish the sentence.. Gotta love him!!
I’ve been so busy I hadn’t had a chance to watch all of two episodes of RHOA, even though I TIVO’d it! Going to the viewing party was really like saving the best for last!! Dwight rocked the Runway, he can direct me anytime!! I had a blast and the complimentary food that was served at Vino Libro was DIVVAliciously Divine!!
Your favorite host, host Tami was there and when we get together we always have a blast!!

The Proverbs 31 woman mastered the art of being a complete Divva and solidified her place in history as the woman who surpasses all others because of virtues. She has been heralded as the ultimate woman that every man should aspire to find. Her long list of incredible achievements have left many a woman in awe. Here was a woman who could bring home the bacon, fry it up in a pan, make her man feel like a man, raise children who would credit to their name, keep her household running smoothly, be a successful entrepreneur, and still have time for charity work. Whew!! That’s a Divine Divva!!! Big ups to all my Divine Divva’s!!! I’m with ya chile!!
I get so many emails of thanks for the morning inspirations I send out. I’d thought I start sending a little inspiration in the form that helps me the most….. MUSIC
Every Thursday I’ll post 3 songs for Triumph Tunes Thursday!!
Why 3 songs? People are always saying death comes in 3’s, but I say the opposite. Life comes in 3’s for me.. 3 means so much to me… I realized that once I turned 33…For some of you I pray you get to enjoy life as much as you can and not wait until you’re in your 30’s to realize you potential and if you’re like me and accept your calling when you turn 30, remember those who are younger than you and share a little inspiration to lift them up..
What that being said, here’s your musical inspiration for this Thursday…
Absorb it in, relax, enjoy and have a Praise Worthy Prosperous Weekend!!!
Enjoy them. Live a little, Dance a little, Don’t Worry, Be Happy!!

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” -Matthew 6:34
God supplies all the strength we need to do all that He’s called us to do. But He rations this strength much in the same way He rationed manna to the children of Israel.
He provides sufficient strength each day for the challenges of that day…and that day only. This strength doesn’t carry over from one day to the next. You either use it, or lose it.
And He will not give you enough strength today for the confrontations, obligations, and challenges of next week, next month, or next year. That strength will be deposited in your account precisely when you need it, and not a moment before.
If you’re stressed and overwhelmed today, check your strength supply. I’ll bet you have enough to get you through this day.
And that’s all you need for now.

Hi there!! As you’re reading this, I hope your New Year’s off to a GREAT start!! I know many of you are up to your head in resolutions, or you may have giving up on your hopes and dreams because they didn’t manifest in 2008. If this blog does anything for you, I pray it encourages you to continue pushing toward what GOD has in store for you and let it be at HIS will. I know it’s almost the end of January, but the Year is still New!!
Going into 2008, I had so many expectations, I knew I would experience the “NEW BEGINNING”, but what I experienced was not on my 2008 to do list. As a matter of fact the majority of my blessings were prayers and goals that I asked for and wrote down in the middle of 2006!! The major blessing I hadn’t asked for, or did I see it in my forecast, not only in 2008, I didn’t see it coming at all…. I married the love of my life!!Again, HIS will!!
Do me a favor….. If you already have set your resolution and goals for 2009, can you add these scriptures to your list and if you’re preparing to set one, please put them on the top of your list…
Hebrews 11:1: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
1 Corinthians 15:58: “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.”
2 Corinthians 4:8-9: “We are hard pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed;”
Usually I would have set tons of goals for the year. This year my prayer/resolution is to continue to be an encouragement to others and give me, with those two at the top of my pyramid everything will else will fall into place…
Enjoy your 2009 to the fullest!!!
Luv Luv
This past weekend I chance to visit home. It’s so different when you move away from home, it’s seems like there isn’t enough time for anything, you want to be everywhere, but when I was a resident, I hardly wanted to leave the house somedays. If anything I really miss the southern hospitality. Yes, I’m in what’s still considered to be the south, but New Orleans take hospitality to another level. Even the “thugs” are sweet and courteous. Everyone speaks, it may be a “wats up, good morning, or whaaah, you still get something. Other states it’s like prying teeth to get a greeting. It’s kinda easy for me, because I kinda force people to be nice, I try to give loads of energy when I walk up to people they can’t help but to speak to me..
My visit was short, but awesome. I had a wonderful time, spent time with my baby boy (who decided to be a daddies boy this school semestor, I’m still sad over that), my hilarious family (esp my aunt with her beer in a jelly jar telling me Keisha Cole and her family don’t have the class our family has, lol) I love my family so much, I was able to drink half of my favorite daiquiri ”Tropical Colada” (half because I’m not as tolerant to acohol as I was before, it takes a hold on me quick, I think it’s because I started kinda young, because I’m not old, so that’s not the excuse) and to end the weekend I was invited to a real Christmas house Party, top notch (they had toys for ALL the kids and the office staff, the food was endless and the again the hospitality was overpouring)! I’m still shocked I didn’t eat as much as I usual do… Overall I had a really great time, and my grandmother is doing extremely well after her surgery. Maybe in a couple of weeks I’ll click my red heels for another weekend home…..
